SAM Morphs for RaceMenu 1.0.5

   (16 reviews)

4 Screenshots

About This File

This is a RaceMenu plugin that adds SAM morphs without using any of SAM's scripts.  It's mainly intended to add SAM morphing features to SE, but a version for Oldrim is also provided.

Using armor refits for SAM is highly recommended.  For SE users, the refits must be converted to SE format using NIF Optimizer.

RaceMenu SE 0.2.4+ requires .tri morphs to be using the newer format exported by Outfit Studio.

Main Features

  • Body Morphs for different body types
  • Texture selection for custom textures
  • Body hair overlays for extra body hair control
  • BodyGen Morphs for diverse body types on all male NPC's based on class (optional)

Body Morphs

  • Samson/Samuel morphs with a toggle for skeleton scaling
  • Genital morphs based on SAM genital bones scaling formula
  • Foreskin morph to toggle foreskin
  • Individual bone scaling used in Samson/Samuel morphs for finer tuning
  • Genital skeleton scaling for compatiblity with genital accessories

Texture Selection (SAM Light only, textures not included)

  • Swap to different diffuse, normal, and specular maps for the body, hands, and feet*
  • Requires refits with body parts correctly named for SAM (SAMBody, SAMHands, SAMFeet, SAMGenitals, SAMForeskin)
  • Textures follow the naming convention BaseName_xx.dds (diffuse), BaseName_xx_msn.dds (normal), BaseName_xx_s.dds (specular) where xx ranges from 01 to 10
    • For example, base texture malebody_1.dds would be named malebody_01.dds, malebody_02.dds, malebody_03.dds, etc.
  • Feet textures have the BaseName of MaleFeet (default races), ArgonianMaleFeet (Argonian), and FeetMale (Khajiit)

*feet uses body texture by default

Usage

Three custom spells are automatically added under Powers.

  • SAM Morphs (Self)*
    • Opens a minimal version of RaceMenu on the player character
  • SAM Morphs (Target)*
    • Opens a minimal version of RaceMenu on the target character
  • SAM Textures Config
    • Configures setting for feet texture mode and resets texture overrides

*requires UIExtensions

Requirements

*not required, but SAM assets are required in some type of setup (like SOS).  SAM scripts/.esp/.dll are not used.
**only required for editing morphs on NPC's

Manual Installation

  • 00 Textures for overlays
  • 01 Base mod for either Oldrim or SE
  • 02 BodyGen morphs (1 for basic setup, 2 for overrides from other mods) (optional)
  • 03 Genital Morphs if not using SAM Light (optional)

Notes

  • Foreskin morph requires SAM Light "un-cut" option during installation.
  • BodyGen for RaceMenu SE can make the game unstable based on individual setups.
  • BodyGen morphs are saved in the SKSE co-save alongside the game save.  NetImmerse Override Cleaner can be used to remove the morph data in Oldrim saves.  I'm not aware of any equivalent tool for SE.
  • Body hair overlay only applies to the main body mesh, not the genitals.  This is due to how the overlay system was designed.
  • RaceMenu for NPC's will show them in a T-pose during slider changes.  This is intentional and required when updating skeleton scaling since the game is paused.  NPC will resume animations once the menu is closed.
  • Genital morphs don't use genital skeleton scaling and are intended for BodyGen randomization.
  • If used alongside the full SAM, the morphs and scaling are not synchronized and will add on top of each other.

Credits

  • expired6978 for RaceMenu and UIExtensions
  • Vector for the creation of Shape Atlas for Men

What's New in Version 1.0.5   See changelog

Released

  • added cloaking ability to reapply custom textures to affected NPC's in range.  Cloak is only active when at least one NPC is using custom textures.  Use SAM Morphs (Self) or SAM Morphs (Target) spell at least once to enable effect in existing game.

what would it be ?

It is possible to jiggle genital, scrotum even with non-HDT body (SAM Light default or High poly), at least in my understanding.

In order to jiggle chest, belly and butt, you'd need HDT body (SAM Light) with corresponding nodes.

Try the attached config file (to put into SKSE>Plugin) with tweaks, and extract CBPConfig_SOS.txt and CBPConfig_SOSScrorum.txt [sic] from  CBBE 3BBB (possible warning for NSFW female nude, just in case), and overwrite the original config txt file of the latest CBPC (1.3.5) with these files.

Of course I assume it cannot match HDT-SMP, but it at least works almost flawlessly without conflicts.

CBPCMasterConfig.txt

I'm uncertain about how to use the spell effects we get to invoke racemenu on self or target.

I see them in my spell list, but I unlike other spells I can't assign them to the left or right hand. When I click on one of them with either mouse button I get the assignment indicator for ammunition. If that's how they are truly handled what do I cast them with?

Its a power - you activate it with the same key you would with a shout.

DOH! Thank you.

I'm just getting back into Skyrim and modding SE for the first time. I haven't done a play-through in several years, so I've forgotten a few of the basics.

Hey can anybody help me, so I cannot use UIExtensions b/c VR version. Is there any way for me to set an npc/follower to have a specific morph or it can be all the same or random.

RaceMenu (specifically its SKSE plugin) is required for any of the morphs to function.  If that works for the VR version, then you can use the BodyGen feature of RaceMenu to auto apply morphs to any NPC.  I already included an optional BodyGen morph template in this mod to apply specific morphs to a list of 2216 vanilla male NPC's.

I'm using the racemenu but how do i edit a npc? i can only edit myself. The powers don't work on npc. Unless theres another way to edit them when editing myself, something that i missed?

UIExtensions is required for any edits outside of the full RaceMenu.  The powers won't work without it.

Can you still achieve things that this option did in Oldrim SAM? Like, affect all or multiple people at once, preferably their schlong size? Cant quite figure out if theres a way except walk up to everyone with the one spell to edit them, would just like to make everyone a bit bigger

BodyGen requires exact morph values.  Variables can't be used to auto apply morphs to all NPC's on a whim.  Since I've been getting similar requests for certain features of the full SAM, some of them can be implemented if I expand the custom texture feature to also include morphs and scaling.  This may just end up having the same overhead though.

I have a suggestion for this. solution.

[SOS] or [SAM] 3MW Texture Pack

EX: Keep the hair in the same range for 3MW Texture.

Body hair overlay for how the overlay system was designed.

Is there any way to get hold of these textures and in a higher resolution? I downloaded the linked file, but it only has the first five and they are really low resolution (2.6 MB).

I'm currently using the SOS version of these: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/7902?tab=images

Each texture is around 20MB in size and they look amazing in game. I'm just hoping to find more variations like the ones above. I've written a mod that distributes all of these skins to all of the non-beast races, so having more variants just increases the possibilities that NPC "a" will be different from NPC "b".

Shouldn't it be possible to use BodyGen to edit your NPCs? Also for selfmade NPCs?

BodyGen edits are done outside of the game using the included templates and any text editor.  UIExtensions is required for in-game editing.

i got this mod and it works wonderfully! one question that may or may not be a bug though,

it doesnt work on certain NPCs like Sanguine or the spawning NPC that you meet on the road and tells you hes sick (the one who starts the peryite quest). what could be the reason for that?

I added a conditional check in the powers that requires the target to be a playable race to prevent certain bugs.  Daedra/Dremora, Afflicted, Elder, etc are not considered playable races.  This also saves me the trouble of having to manually script the texture options for each race.

Hello! I'm currently moving to SSE and discovered that old SAM cannot be used in SSE. Thankfully yours exists!

I have a question thought, since you said that you are not any of SAM's scripts, does that means that SAM Features such as automatically morphing other NPC does not exist?

I'm having trouble using this mod, when I use the sliders anything from samson to scrotum size 2 doesn't appear to do anything. Sliders from spine 1 below work.

playing on LE and I picked bodygen 1 during installation

Sorry, do you install XPMSE in your load order?

In order to make use of many sliders in Racemenu (including some bone node sliders of this mod), XPMSE should be installed as a prerequisite.

SAM TEXTURE
The preset 10 groups are not enough.
Many body materials want to use.
I want to add to 50 groups by myself.
How to add SAM TEXTURE?

Can you add presets to 50 groups in the next version?
And, hope to add HEAD TEXTURE.
Thank you.

The following modules can add HEAD TEXTURE.
Maybe you can refer to it.
BOSSE - Bodies of Skyrim Special Edition

Bodytypes of Skyrim

Always thank you for your work.

If I want to use the default sam high poly for the first texture, and then want to swap other body textures at the second 3rd 4th 5th.....

should I rename the other texture from malebody_01.dds or malebody_02.dds?
