About This File

SAM Revealing Blacksmith Apron

This is a refit of BadDog's Skimpy Blacksmith Apron for SAM.

There are three versions;  See images for reference.

All versions are HDT or SMP-compatible.

All versions available for Legendary Edition and Special Edition.

You no longer need any textures to use this. Remove any old textures you installed for the previous version.

Extra Details (FOR [SE] Version Only!)

  • There are two different versions for SE, CUT and UNCUT. Please choose the version that corresponds to your SAM Light/HDT/SMP/High Poly Installations.
    • If you choose the cut version, everyone who equips this will not have foreskin and you will not be able to change that.
    • If you choose the uncut version, everyone who equips this will have foreskin by default, but if you have SAM Morphs for RaceMenu you can use the "Foreskin Hide" slider to show either cut or uncut penis.

Thank you very much for this! I remember I used to have many of these revealing outfits when using SOS, and see some of them getting converted is very appreciated!

Do you plan to make some more conversions from Aoki armors / clothing? It would be great, especially for the mages robes. I know there is already one on here, but it still has a texture issue and I liked Aoki's ones better. Sorry if my English isn't perfect, and it's totally fine if you don't make other conversions, but it still would be a very nice add-on for all SAM users. :)

I would have liked to, but I do not have permission. The only reason I could release this one is because it did not require any edits to his files. But unfortunately, most of the other armors do.

We'll see what happens :) But I would rather not upload anything without permission.

Ah shoot, I didn't realize this, sorry! True, it's always best to have permission in all cases. A shame it's so hard to get at times, many users became inactive with time and some totally stopped modding / playing Skyrim.

But all right, I understand! Thank you for your answer!

the aprons ingame (red and gray). for sse.

Hmm interesting. I tested all the SE versions myself before I released them and they worked fine so I don't know what the issue might be :/

If anyone else is having the same problem with the SE version then I'll have to look into it.

i'm also having a problem with crashing when equipping the white and gray version on sse.

I really tried to reproduce the crashing but I can't. And without being able to cause it for myself there's no way I can fix it. Sorry!

It might be skeleton issue. Have you two those who clashed (re-)installed XPMSSE after SAM?

The body mesh of the cloth has HDT skeleton nodes like butt, breast, and belly, so the minimum SAM skeleton is not enough to equip this mod. It requires HDT-compatible skeleton like XPMSSE one.

@y_sengaku

that seems to have done it! i have no idea why one apron worked for me exactly once before making me crash, but they both seem to work perfectly fine now. thanks a lot!

Great. Thanks for figuring it out!

That, interestingly enough, fixed the problems I was having for the Revealing Robes mod, but not this one.. lmao.

Now the aprons just act like the vanilla ones with the mod installed, but they no longer crash my game so I guess that's getting somewhere?

Edit: immediately after posting this I reinstalled the mod and messed with the load orders and it seems to work fine now. Thank you~

I'm sorry, I was hoping you could provide further clarification on how to remedy the crashing issue?

Whenever I have either the Revealing Robes or this Revealing Blacksmith mod installed, my game crashes when I try to load up a new area.

The issue is probably related to the XPMSSE skeleton like you mentioned before, but even when I try re-installing the skeleton after enabling these mods, my game still crashes.

Am I supposed to reinstall the skeleton in a certain why after downloading these mod files? Is there a particular mod order I should load them in? Currently, the XPMSSE skeleton loads before the SAM mod in my load order.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

You should always load XPMSSE skeleton at last to make sure it can overwrite any other skeleton.

Oh, thank you very much! It seems that re-installing XPMSSE and then loading it after the SAM esp resolved the issue.

Thank you; I appreciate the help!
