Choosing the Ideal SSE Version for Modding: 1.5.97 vs. 1.6.640

Recommended Posts

I've been wanting to mod SSE for a while now but i'm a bit confused over the versions it has. I've heard that the preferable version is 1.5.97 but i've also heard that 1.6.640 is also good. So what version would be better to get in terms of a NSFW playthrough with animations and physics, 1.5.97 or 1.6.640?

edit: I would also like it if someone could refer me to a guide revolving around a NSFW playthrough if possible

Definitely 1.5.97. Nothing special about AE except bring problem for you about compatibility. You can use AE content just fine with SE

Pretty neat!. Seems like 1.5.97 will be the version i'll be going with by downgrading with the best of both patcher.

Also do .jslot files work in SE? I'd like to move my racemenu presets from LE to SE and use the SE mod equivalents or do i need to convert .jslot files?

Hello everyone, nice to meet you all.

I'm new on Skyrim and ate lot of information about modding it and stuff.

I just have 2 questions:

What is better for mods: A fresh "clean installation of 1.5.97" or a "downgrade from 1.6.640 to 1.5.97 with best of both patch"?

What about GoG 1.6.659 version? i heard that one doesn't have any incompatibilities with old and new mods, it's that true?

Thanks in advance to everyone.
