Refit of HDT-SMP Armor

I'm trying to refit the Traveling Mage HDT-SMP Armor, but at the end I cannot keep any of the physics, everything breaks, as outfits become non-hdt, for some reason. 
Could somebody with more knowledge make the refit, or point me to a tutorial that would help? Thanks!

1. Use nifskope to open the refitted and original nif file.

2. If there exists SMP xml branch for body (like SAMbody.xml) in the refitted nif, delete it.

3. Copy the SMP xml branch from the original nif to the refitted nif.
