In case anyone wants to upload their stuff on my site, I've created a specific Download area (Others) and a specific permission group (Author) so ppl can upload any mods they feel like.

I also want to make clear that if you ever want to remove your mod from my site, you are free to do so, without any restrain of any type, however, if your mod modifies any content created by me, it should be exclusive to my site... No Nexus, no LoversLab, no Hall of Torque.

I granted an exception on this to Ashal and B3lisario from Lover's Lab, when it comes to SOS related content, however, I should note that if you are to publish any assets from SOS, you should credit me, Smurf, and B3lisario. This has happened before, and while I'm not against people using any assets I created, giving credit is the least they can do, and this was also another reason why the EULA was implemented on my more recent works. It sucks seeing ppl releasing mods saying "doesnt require X", being X a mod that I made, because its using assets I did.

For now, its pointless to have those @ffabris, as I have stated, I will be working on SAM again, I'm simply waiting for the Special Edition to be released. When that happens, you can if you want, tell me what fixes were made, and include them in SAM. Since I can't really evaluate what was changed in SAM during my absence, I can't really fully understand what fixes are you talking about. Furthermore, since I'm hoping that with the Special Edition I might be able to add new features I couldn't on the vanilla one, some of those fixes could just be deprecated.

Special Edition is to be released next week, so, when that happens, I'll start working on SAM again =)

SE will need an updated SKSE, and an updated SkyUI. So I think you may have a bit of a wait before you can update SAM for it.

As to my fixes, one is a solution for those who have the MCM failing to open. The other concerns neck seams on NPCs when mods NPC overhauls are added after saving SAM settings. (NPC weights are fetched once from the NPC, then those values reused, those causing neck gaps if NPC weights change).

I can attach the file if you like. I marked all my changes clearly.

OK, the file is attached if you want to have a look, and/or incorporate any of the changes. It seemed to help some folks over on HoT. The archive contains only scripts which I edited; no textures, no meshes, no esp.

  • Fix for SAM MCM failing to register on starting a new game (for those that have this problem).
  • Fix for some NPCs having a neck gap on loading saved values. Generally happens with NPC overhaul mods, if saved values are imported after installing the overhaul. The MCM will now display the actual actor weight and height rather than whatever is saved, and at the same time, will update the saved values. Also, NPC weight is now never changed, only player weight. This should prevent the gaps entirely.
  • Increased schlong scale multiplier max from 10 to 50 (which is HUGE).

Perv (lol)

I'm aware of the SKSE issue. I'm actually more concerned about NiOverride. The SKSE team already announced that SKSE will get updated, so I assume it will be something done fairly fast. And even though I think Expired (the author of RaceMenu and NiOverride) is part of the SKSE team, I'm unsure of what implies or not for the update on his DLL, specially because NiOverride is a small part of RaceMenu.

As for your fixes, I cant really comment on them, I'll be waiting for the game to come out, then look at the edits B3lisario made for SAM, while at the same time travel through the memory lane to re-learn everything again (which should be faster than doing it from scratch ofc).

But for now, I'm not concerned about this to be honest, lets just wait, and after that we'll see what has to be done.

EDIT: If you want to be part of the Author group, you'll have to teel me so I can edit it manually. If ppl need to be set as authors, just post here on this thread, or send me a msg, or whatever.

Oh sure... I just wanted to make it available - not only to you, but also any "refugees" from HoT, since the file was downloaded a few times there.

As for SE, don't forget SkyUI ... no MCMs without it. ;)

Considering SkyUI is the most downloaded mod of all, I'm sure it will have a speedy update =)

I read someplace that the author wasn't updating it. I sincerely hope that was mere rumor. :-|

well, now that I think about it.. it shouldnt be needing any update, since its basically a mod that only uses Papyrus, and not a specific DLL right?? The problem is more about SKSE and any mods that have DLLs. I really dont understand anything about DLL shenanigan, I'm not a programmer, and dont quite understand the implications, but I think the whole issue revolves around that DLLs (Dynamic Libraries) are dependent of shit that is either built for x86 or x64?? I don't know hehe

Does this mean than any changes/fixes made in ''SAM Recoded'' will be lost? The changelog for Recoded version is long..

P.S. Thank you for the original mod, but if not for other people who made fixes and additional content (like HDT body, armor refits, textures etc.) I would not use it, simply because original was too buggy.

P.S.2. Waitng for new SKSE/NiOverride/MCM menu for Skyrim SE will be probably long (look how ''basic'' F4SE for Fallout 4 is - even after one year after the game release).

Hey Luke... I'm not in any condition right now to offer any detailed technical detail (my brain feels like mud...), what I can tell you is that the version I uploaded here, is the last version it was on HoT

Luke, I'm afraid you are very misinformed...

The biggest issue on SAM was always NiOverride... it took me a FULL year to have Expired fix certain aspects of it (not saying that he had any obligation to do it, just stating a fact) and even after that, NiOverride still had bugs. When I released SAM, it was against my "will", and I did so for 2 reasons:

  • LadyM, without consulting me, made the private SAM forum that was just set for developers (me, Earrindo, Urshi, FavoredSoul, Felio, B3lisario and Smurf) causing files to be "leaked" and even caused a "diplomatic" issue, because someone published files they were not supposed to on another site. Granted, it was her site, she can do whatever she wants, but the work there was private and it was none of her business in doing so.she should at least have consulted me.
  • People in general, were starting to get rude and obnoxious on HoT, because SAM release was being delayed (and again there was nothing I could do, because there were plenty of bugs related to NiOverride). At some point, I even saw a guy on a chan, saying this: "Fuck that guy for not releasing the mod"

After all this, I thought it was better to release the mod, because ppl were getting a bit too anxious. Ofc I can never please everyone... If I dont release it, I get "Fuck you!", and if I do, I get "Too buggy, not using".

Then shit happened (that had nothing to do with mod development btw, it was personal) and I left...

This is not to say or dismiss B3lisario's work, I'm pretty sure he made good improvements to the code. SAM was still being built, and I was basically a one man show, having to do the code, meshes, refits, textures, etc. The mod was split into 3 files, because I was frequently updating them (Core=scripts/ESP, Textures and Meshes). I dont like having mods with several downloads, I never did, this was made exclusively because if I had to update a script or add a new refit, it saved me time from uploading everything else.

As for new content, thats cool that ppl did it, I always encouraged ppl to do so, and I like that it happens

Thanks for your reply Vector, now I actually know ''what was which'' from the start.. Sorry if I sounded harsh, it was not my intention. Most of my problems was mostly from.. Well Skyrim just using old 32bit dx9 engine with huge memory limitations...

Looks like there is more changes that we probably think to the Skyrim SE: http://afkmods.iguanadons.net/index.php?/topic/4633-skyrim-se-things-to-know-when-converting-standard-mods-to-sse/

P.S. If I'm not allowed to post links, just tell me, I will remove them.

You didnt sounded rude at all, I was only pointing out some facts. Whatever I do, I can never please everyone, and then I get criticized for doing so no matter what. And its not that I can't handle critics, but if you are criticizing something that is beyond my control (like the fact that NiOverride always had major bug), its just a tad out of place, since its not really up to me to fix it. At some point I even started to feel like I was annoying Expired, because I would report him the bugs, and they would only get partially fix, or if something got fixed, something else would break, so I even stopped bugging him. As much as I would want him to fix the bugs, I know he was doing his best to do so, and he had no obligation to do it either. Nor do I have any obligation to anyone.

Why wouldn't I want you to link anything?? You can link to whatever you want, as long as its lawful content... If you start linking shit like pedophilia or "Vote for Trump" propaganda, then I'll probably think twice =P

I can't wait to improve in my programing and scripting skills and skin texturizing skills to help the SAM team out while also working on my body project.  I taking intro to programming in college currently.  I really love that field so much.  Right now I just need a better performing computer system because as of now I have a barely surviving laptop thats not good enough for me :P
