cant get skyrim to work with any mods
GayGuyMike replied to [email protected]'s topic in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Via Steam, right click on Skyrim Special Edition then hover over Manage > Browse local files and click it. In the Skyrim Special Edition directory, delete everything. Now go to Documents\My Games and delete the Skyrim Special Edition folder. Reinstall Skyrim and look up guides on how to properly install mods. Also, before you install any mods, remember to launch the game at least once. -

1. Clear out your Skyrim installation first. Go to your Steam or GOG and go to the folder where Skyrim is stored. Delete all the files there. Then, go to Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition and delete that folder too. Now, redownload the game. 2. After you are finished downloading Skyrim, launch the game. 2a. If you own the Anniversary Edition Upgrade, download the Creation Club content. If you don't own it, skip this step. 3. Go to skse.silverlock.org and download the right version of SKSE for your version. If you're on Steam, download Anniversary Edition build 2.2.3. If you're on GOG, download GOG Anniversary Edition build 2.2.3. Using 7zip, unpack the file and copy the Data folder, the src folder and SKSE_1_6_640.dll file if you're on Steam or the SKSE_1_6_659.dll file if you're on GOG and the SKSE64_loader.dll file to where your Skyrim is installed. 4. Download Mod Organizer 2. Even though people claim that Vortex is easier to use, it is convoluted and not very user friendly, ESPECIALLY when solving conflicts. In Mod Organizer you solve conflicts by simply moving mods up and down on the list of installed mods. 4a. When installing Mod Organizer 2, you will be prompted with creating a global or a portable instance. Create a global instance and assign the Base Folder in which you will be storing your mods. The Location folder is irrelevant for you. I recommend creating a separate folder naming it Skyrim Mods. It will create 5 folders named Downloads, Mods, Overwrite, Profiles and Webcache. 4b. A tutorial will open when you're finished setting up. Read it if you want. 4c. In the top left corner there will be an icon with a screwdriver and a wrench. Click on it and change the theme to 1809 Dark Mode. Click on the Nexus tab and connect your Nexus account with mod organizer. 5. Now for the actual mods. 5a. From the Nexus, download the following mods: SkyUI, MCM Helper, USSEP, Address Library (Go to the files tab and click Download with Vortex on whichever version of the game you are running. A pop up on the site will ask you if you will allow Nexus to download files with MO2. Click yes.), (Part 1) SSE Engine Fixes for 1.6.629 and newer and (Part 2) Engine Fixes - skse64 Preloader and TBB Lib (It will work both on GOG and Steam. For the part 2, you need to download it manually and do the same process with it as you did with SKSE, just copy the files to your Skyrim Special Edition folder), JContainers, Powerofthree's Tweaks, powerofthree's Papyrus Extender, PapyrusUtil SE - Modders Scripting Utility Functions, Papyrus Tweaks NG, Project New Reign - Nemesis Unlimited Behavior Engine, Racemenu, XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended - XPMSSE (FNIS is replaced by Nemesis), XPMSSE - Nemesis - Papyrus Stack Fix, Expressive Facegen Morphs, Expressive Facial Animation -Male Edition-(and female if you care about consitency) and MFG Fix. Those mods will be the necessary libraries and the basis of your character's extended skeleton which includes the male reproductive organ and pecs. The last 3 mods will increse the realism of expressions. 5b. From Vectorplexus (here) download the following mods: High Poly Head for a better head with more polygons, SAM Light as your male body, SAM High Poly Conversion to upgrade SAM Light with more polygons, SAM Morphs for Racemenu for body customization and HDT BBB Bounce for SAM for jiggle physics. If you download the last mod here, you will also need FSMP - Faster HDT-SMP and SMP-NPC crash fix from the Nexus. These mods are your actual male body. 5c. From Loverslab download the following: SexLab SE - Sex Animation Framework v1.65 as the sex framework for your version of AE (FNIS is replaced by Nemesis, however Nemesis does not support creatures at this moment, so Werewolves are a no go.), M2M Gay Animations for the actual animations and Sexlab Tools to choose your animations in game instead of them being chosen at random. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE GUIDE SO FOLLOW CAREFULLY 6. In Mod organizer two when right click on the installed mods panel, you have a choice called Create Separator. Create five for the sake of convenience. Name them as follows: Base Game, Libraries, Body, Sexlab, Nemesis. 6a. Put the Base Game separator and collapse it. It will hide the base game files. You don't need to see them. 6b. Install these mods in the following order and put them in the Libraries separator, which has to be below the base game separator: SkyUI, USSEP, Address Library, SSE Engine Fixes, JContainers, powerofthree's Tweaks, powerofthree's Papyrus Extender, PapyrusUtil SE - Modders Scripting Utility Functions, Papyrus Tweaks NG, Expressive Facegen Morphs, Expressive Facial Animations -Male Edition- and MFG Fix. When a FOMOD appears (a window which tells you what to install), choose the correct version of your game. They are conveniently named so you shouldn't get confused, and if you plan on having body physics, Faster HDT SMP (Choose your Skyrim version and leave all else unchanged.). 6c. To install the body mods, you need to install them manually. Just drag and drop them in this order into the Body separator which should be under Libraries in this order: High Poly Head (in the FOMOD select Special Edition, Expressive Facegen Morphs, Expressive facial animations for men, symmetrical female faces and fix for the sunken vampire faces) SAM Light (Choose Skyrim Special Edition, your prefered penis shape and body hair in the FOMOD), SAM High Poly (Select Skyrim Special Edition and the same penis you chose in SAM Light in the FOMOD. Do not click anything else.), SAM Morphs (Choose Skyrim Special Edition and Body Gen 1 in the FOMOD), if you want physics SAM HDT BBB (Choose Skyrim Special Edition, SAM Light, Hight Poly SAM, HDT Skeleton for SAM, your prefered penis type, and whichever bounce option you prefer. Leave collisions unchanged.) and finally XPMSSE (In the FOMOD click next until you see Schlongs of Skyrim. Deselect it.) 6d. Sexlab time. Install Sexlab Framework, M2M animations and Sexlab Tools into the Sexlab separator which should be under bodies THE FOLLOWING WILL LET YOU USE THE ANIMATIONS IN GAME, READ CAREFULLY 6e. Install Nemesis and XPMSSE - Nemesis - Papyrus Stack fix in the Nemesis separator which should be under everything except for the Overwrite folder. 6f. You need to create executables for SKSE and Nemesis. To do it, you need to go where I marked it on the screenshot. A new window will open. Click on the plus icon and create a new executable. Go to your skyrim installadtion folder and go select SKSE Loader executable. Repeat this step, exept this time go to where your mods are installed, look for Project New Reign - Nemesis Behaviour Engine, open the Nemesis Engine folder, and choose the Nemesis executable located at the bottom. Now you have two new executables. Open the Nemesis one. 6g. In the Nemesis menu two warnings will appear. Click ok and click on Update Nemesis Engine, wait until it's done then click on Launch Nemesis Behaviour Engine. WAit for it to be done. After it's complete, close the Nemesis window and choose the SKSE executable. Launch the game through it Everything should work now. If you have further questions, just reply to this post. After I wake up tomorrow I'll answer any questions you may have. Have fun in engagin in adult fun with other Skyrim men. Also on Loverslab look for Sextalk gay edition or Matchmaker to actually start the scenes.

The latest update seems to break Khajiits and Argonians whenever using the SAM Morph sliders. There's a very visible seam on the wrists and ankles. All other races work just fine. Could you please look into this? Here's my load order showing all interations SoSAM has with other mods. I have merged Update 03 and Bilf into SoSAM in that order.

Tyvm, that was the problem.

There is a visible neck seam whenever the body weight isn't 0. SAM Morph Sliders work properly at 0 weight. Any guided fix for this? Would be really annoying for me to see a neck seam on almost every male npc in the game.
