SavrenX EL Men's Underwear Patch 1.0.0

Thank you for the great mod.  But Samson and Samuel doesn't work for me.

I installed the original mod and the patch, and used AddItemMenuSe for obtaining items.

What would be wrong?

  Reveal hidden contents

 

Open Underwear_1.nif with NifSkope.

• Expand MaleUnderwearBody:0, rename to SAMBody (SAM Light's texture swapping won't work unless the body has this name)
• Delete actors\character\character assets\Malebody.tri
• Find the BSTriShape "Trousers" and rename it to "Trousers.001"

Save. Repeat with Underwear_0.nif. (I think the trousers is already named correctly in that one, but check to be sure)

Last, replace the included Underwear.tri file with this one here Underwear.tri

My skyrim is kinda buggy so sometimes some mods doesn't work and I've given up.

But voila! It works.

So I was wondering if you could help me.  I tried to follow your instruction but I can't rename the MaleUnderwearBody to SAMBody.  SAM doesn't even show up as an option.  I tried using the same number as you (83) and that came up with something different.  I even tried looking at the meshes from some other same mods and those use different numbers for SAMBody as well, none of which worked for this.  

I thought it'd be as simple as typing in the name, but that doesn't seem possible.  If it is, I have no idea how to do it.  I'm kind of new to this stuff so any assistance would be appreciated.

Oh, thank you so much.  I finally got it to work.  Some clipping issues but I probably just need to refit it in bodyslide/outfit studio.

Just asking, does this conversion work to make the underwear equip able underneath armor? I know the original had a patch for that so just figured to ask.

no unfortunately it doesn't, this is a conversion of the equipable version of el men underwear, it would be perfect to have the layered version aswell

I wonder if I just change the slot in sseedit is enough or if it also needs changes in the meshes itself through nifskope
