The Well Dressed Mage - SAM Light 1.0.0

About This File

THE WELL DRESSED MAGE by Earrindo

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. SAM Light (with high poly)
  2. The Well Dressed Mage original mod (mainly for textures, I included a converted esl plugin since the one from the Nexus is still on format 43).

ORIGINAL MOD LINK: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3825

The conversion is not perfect, it wont work over 100 slider on neither Samson nor Samuel, so don't get too crazy. There are some minor clipping here and there, and there are a few problems with body gaps. Check it yourself and tell me where can I improve the meshes.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

  1. Run the hood meshes through Nif optimizer if they're giving you weird effects.
  2. I'm trying to fix a wrong texture placement on the Thieves Guild armor, idk what went wrong, but if you are eager to try it go ahead and fix it yourself or remove the non-working mesh (the coat itself).
  3. Have fun

Original mod by Earrindo, conversion by me.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoy it, please do not hesitate on giving me some feedback about how to improve it!:) Also if you find too much clipping or something not working as intended tell me too, please.

Thank you for this conversion as it was sorely needed! One note: on body weight bellow 80 with no sliders there are big clippings on both shoulders for Expert's Mantle and Master's Mantle. If you buff the guy enough though seems to be good.

Thanks for converting this to SAM for us! This has always been my favorite outfit.

I don't know if it's because I'm using the High Poly w/HDT body, but the expert and master cuirasses/kyrtills cause huge wrist gaps (I'm guessing the others also have gaps, but they're hidden by the long sleeves). As long as I was converting these to the High Poly body, I went ahead and adding the "forearm" 34 slot to the armor addons in the CK, which seems to have removed the gaps.

I'm having the same problem. I'm probably way in over my head, but I installed the ck and found the forearm 34 slot and activated it, but nothing changed. Should I be converting them to high poly body too? Is there a tool for that? Sorry if these are dumb questions.

Did either of you ever fix this? The Master Kyrtill is the one I'd like to wear. The others got a large space between the body and the front of the bottoms which the master one doesnt.

[EDIT] Ok so adding the forearm slot to both the armor and the armor addon fixed this.

So I installed SAM light on my LE game and then SAM Morphs for RaceMenu. But I had some problems with it after trying to Install it.
First one is when I play with SAM sliders a little, my body becomes invisible and it doesn't get fixed until I reload save game(or cell load, I don't know cuz game crashes instantly when trying change or reload cell after body being invisible).
second one is texture sets doesn't seem to working on my LE game, even though I'm sure I'm picking classic skyrim option in fomod.
I would be very appreciated if someone could help me. I also don't use bodygen.

ESL-ified. Based on https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/63882. I'm not really a texture or mesh artist so this is more of a patch to get it to work with SAM Light. There's some clipping.

      Uses SAM and SOS assets.

Conversion of the Elmlock Armor from HIMBO to SAM. My first refit but I think everything should be alright.

Credit to Krieste for the armor, it's very nice!
