Kreis' Skimpy Outfits - Clothing Redux 3.0.0

   (4 reviews)

22 Screenshots

About This File

A set of Vanilla clothing replacer, covering all basegame Clothing...except for Nocturnal's since no man wear them (or will they? 😉)
They will use whatever texture packs you have installed as they don't come with any at all.

I won't bother listing them all since vanilla naming system is just like..."Fine Clothes", or "Clothes" (Unless you use mod to name them), heck I'd rather not confuse people. Refer to the screenshots, you probably could tell which is which. Basically, I should've covered every single clothes in vanilla basegame. DLC stuffs coming soon!

Take a moment to check out the BodySlide files, since some of them has tick-able options for pants/thong/butt--capes. Which outfits gets pants and which gets thong is purely my personal preferences (or if @Darnexx requested it haha).

I've had @InoOnew88's help throughout this tedious process. He offered tons of input, tested each outfits, and even provides screenshots as well.

Installation :

Install normally with your preferred mod manager. I personally use MO2. BodySlide files included if you want to mess around with them.

Permission :

If anyone wanted to convert, derive, modify; all I ask is that you share it with other people here also for everyone's benefit 😃

Conversion to LE

Footnotes :

Buy me a coffee, if you feeling generous. ko-fi.com/kreiste or paypal.me/ChristopherKho
I could use a little spare change in this trying times.

My creations will always remain free and would never be locked behind paywall.

I love these, thank you so much! I'm having a problem for some reason, though.

For whatever reason, the penis for the Dark Brotherhood robes and the Daedric Armor aren't displaying correctly. They're one solid color. At first I thought this was just because I use a custom texture pack for Argonians, however it also happens for all other races. (I only use custom textures for Khajiiti and Argonians, all the humanoid races use their default textures) I'm not quite sure what's causing this issue at all, because when I first tried them on I simply thought "Well, since these textures (the argonian/khajiit textures) were designed for SOS LE, that might be causing some issues" but then I tried slapping it on a few random humanoid NPCs (such as guards near Whiterun) and they also have the broken penis texture as well.

Another issue I've encountered is that, for some reason, NPCs in Solstheim are uh... Glitched. For whatever reason, they now don't wear the Dunmer Clothes. Ever. At all. Neither the girls or boys. Which is very odd. I'm not 100% sure this is being caused by these mods, but it's the only one I can think of as it's the only clothing mod I've installed since the last time I touched Solstheim. Both the last time and when I encounted the naked Dunmer men are when I noticed no one was wearing the Dunmer Clothes were brand new saves where I hadn't touched Solstheim (or anything else) prior to any of the mods installed at the time. I'll provide some images of that, too, since it's... Definitely weird.

And another thing on the side - would it be possible to get an unenchanted variant of the dark brotherhood robes and mythic dawn robes? I especially love the look the mythic dawn robes, but I'm having an impossible time finding an unenchanted version. Or at least, one that people aren't reporting as being super buggy. It's always been super disappointing when Bethesda adds equipment that doesn't have unenchanted versions, especially for stuff that's otherwise not that unique... And then add unenchanted versions of stuff that techncially IS unique. We have unenchanted Shroud armor, but not unenchanted DB robes...?

Anyways, back on the topic of the broken penises, here's some images:

https://imgur.com/a/Ujh7KwC

And here's images of the Dunmer fighting the ash in their... Birthday suits:

https://imgur.com/a/uaCqX4S

And again, thank you, so, so much for these mods. I absolutely love them, especially the heavy armor ones.

@woofman I'm sorry but I don't believe the problems you are having is related to my mods at all. Literally none of my mods touches any clothes nor armor that comes from Dragonborn DLC.

Try turning off my mods and see if the glitch still occurs. A new game to test that might be required though since I think what's causing your issue is a broken leveled list.

I can't quite see what's happening in some of your screenshots, they are very dark. However, if the problem lies with the penis texture, you either installed SOS/SAM with incorrect load order, or you are using skin texture packs that incompatible with either.

I'll try looking into it further. Thanks for the reply!

If you do end up making a pack for Dragonborn, I will gladly download it, though!

I'm having fun with these! However, I've run into a strange mesh problem with the elven armours. For some reason, some parts are not taking lighting correctly in-game and look dark and dull (ike the underside of a single mesh that is inside out - if that makes any sense!). It's particularly noticeable as the texture I've been making is bright and shiny. However, in Nifskope, they look fine. I've attached an image showing the problem.

I've tried fiddling with properties, updating tangent spaces, optimising - all that fun stuff - still dark in-game. Even without me adding the iridescent property and using vanilla texture, the problem is still there, but just in game. It's like parts of the mesh are inside out somehow, but I'm not sure it's that either as they look normal in Nifskope. I even tried checking all the mesh properties against a vanilla mesh in a second window to see if there was something I was missing. As you are good with the meshing, I was hoping you would know what is causing this and how can I fix it. My game has no lighting mods installed and so far none of the other meshes have had this problem.

In Nifskope, this skimpy mesh looks amazing, but in game, he looks like he's dipped it in tar! :D

Help!!!

@LoupciferEventually haha. I'm just taking it slow right now and make what I want to make. I haven't touched Solstheim content yet so I don't feel the need to rush it.

@alienslof I made a mistake when working with elven and glass armor.

long answer with explanations :

Spoiler

They were some of my first creation when I don't know a lot of making meshes 😂 The thing is, the mesh itself has many holes on the inside and they can be very grating when viewed. So for a quick fix, I turned on Double-Sided; however, some parts of the mesh are already made to "look" double sided. by duplicating the mesh and flipping the normals. So what was happening is that you're seing a four-sided planes; or two double-sided planes at the same coordinates which kinda screws up the lighting.

short answer

I fucked up lol.

An easy fix, in Nifskope, turn off Double-Sided on the whole mesh. If the hole-y mesh bothers you

Isolate the darks planes and separate them in Outfit Studio. In Nifskope, turn off Double-Sided for that separated piece only.

Alternatively, I will be releasing a Light Armor Redux II soon which include some of the Light Armor I intend to redesign, if you're willing to wait for that ^^

I'll wait! :D

I don't know the first thing about outfit studio, so I'll leave it in your capable hands! However, I did understand your long answer. Double 2-sided planes were often the cause of much swearing at Blender when I was meshing for Oblivion! :D

The texture I made for the elven works just as well on the vanilla meshes - they're just not as sexy. ;)

Hi, I've been using your version of the Miner's clothes for a while now, which I've loved, an issue just popped up, and I have no idea where it came from but now in 3rd person view it doesn't display the modded version and instead goes back to the sleeves which had been gone, do you know what kind of file I need to be looking for or what might be happening? This is the first time the issue has come up, and I've been playing my stealth mage archer for a good amount of time.

SAM - RM Simple Outfits for Men
View File A refit for RefurbMadness's Simple Outfits for Men.
To install you need to download, and then install the original file from the nexus. Then, install my files over it.
The vertex count for the meshes is rather high, so the refits aren't quite perfect. There may be some clipping during some animations, particularly on the chest for the midnight assassin outfit. I will look into fixing this at a later date.
      Credits
RefurbMadness for the original mod, and all of its related credits
      VectorPlexus for SAM.
